I recently viewed a video posted by Penn Jillette (a very vocal atheist) that he posted after receiving a Gideon Bible from an audience member after a show. If you have not seen this, you should whether you are a Christian or not. Here's the link although you may need to copy and paste...

Penn is no moron. His observations concerning Christianity in America are spot on. He probably sees people like Ken Copeland preaching some mystical blab it and grab it garbage, Joel Osteen preaching about your "best life now", and Benny Hinn slapping people with the sleeves of his sport coat supposedly healing the lame and sick. These men and others make a complete mockery of Biblical Christianity. Most comedy writers and satirists can't write anything as bizarre as these television con-men when they try, and probably fear that they may lose their jobs to these false teachers.
Enter this business man who has a grasp on the call of Christ. He does nothing more than calmly, lovingly and RATIONALLY explain that salvation is found within the pages of Scripture, and hands Penn the Book asking that he just read it. Afterwards, he simply thanks Penn for the opportunity and goes his way.
Could he have said more? Maybe. It would be glorious if there was time for this man to explain to Penn how wretched we are, how Christ lived perfectly in our place, and how by repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross through His death and resurrection we can be saved to life eternal.
However there most likely was not that kind of time afforded to him for that, but the time he did have must have been used in the wisest of ways because Penn took the time to video blog about this man, and this very vocal staunch atheist actually has kind words for the guy.
Please think about this if you name the name of Christ. Penn Jillette is a walking wall of a man at 6' 7", is extremely quick witted and intelligent, and more vocal than any other man on the planet. This man is the picture of intimidation. His views and ideas are cemented in his mind, and he is aptly able to defend them with a fair amount of reasonabilily.
Yet one man with the true love of Christ was able to reasonably ask him to consider the Gospel contained in the pages of Scripture and Penn thanked him for it.
Let all of us who name the name of Christ learn from this man that our call is not to choose who and who not we will proclaim the Word of Truth too, but that we are to witness to EVERYONE in season and out of season without regard to the consequences.
Let all of you who do not name the name of Christ understand that we do not preach to you because we think that we are better than you. We preach because Christ has commanded it of His followers. If we believe what the Bible tells us, then we would have to hate you to not share it. A true Christian loves the truth, loves to share it, and shows that love to you by loving you enough to share it with you.
